This Xmas,
Give gifts that make a difference
Oxfam Unwrapped gifts represent a donation to help give families and communities the practical resources they need – such as goat, duck or chick – to lift themselves out of poverty.
Looking for a meaningful Christmas gift for your loved ones?
Oxfam Unwrapped offers a unique way to send gifts in the names of your family and friends to those in need around the world. In addition, you can select a gift card designed by the local creative brand “Chocolate Rain”, exclusively for Oxfam Hong Kong, to share the joy with your loved ones!
How your gift works
By purchasing ‘Safe Water’, for instance, your gift can:
- Provide clean water and public sanitation facilities in poor areas.
- Supply poor villages with water through a solar-powered water system.
- Promote hygiene in poor areas.
- Offer proper and sustainable faecal sludge management so water sources are not contaminated.
We will use your donations on a specific programme. For example, money coming from the purchase of ‘Safe Water’ could be used to build wells in poor communities. However, if the donations we receive exceed the needs of the programme, we ask that you allow Oxfam Hong Kong to respond flexibly to the varying needs of poor communities around the world and redirect your donation to a similar or equally important project. This will ensure the most effective use of your donations in meeting the needs of poor communities.

Unwrapped
Oxfam Unwrapped gifts represent a donation to help give families and communities the practical resources they need – such as a goat, duck or pig – to lift themselves out of poverty. Your gifts will be extra special and help tackle global poverty.
Oxfam has installed ten solar piped water systems and 15 laundry facilities in four districts in the country. The project has helped reduce distances women have to travel for clean water. They now have more time to develop their livelihoods and take care of their children.
Oxfam is working with local partners and the community to keep girls in school for a better future.
